Mental Health 101: Understanding Mental Illness

The Priority Center’s O&E Team invites you to a 30-minute presentation on mental health 101: understanding mental illness. The webinar will promote positive mental health using an action plan and identify symptoms of mental illness. I will Introduce cultural and social causes of stigma and promote empathy and empowerment.

What you’ll learn during the presentation:

• The meaning of mental health

• Signs and symptoms of common mental health disorders

• Current types of treatment and resources

• Stigma associated with reaching out for support and how to advocate

WHEN: Wednesday, October 21, 2020 6:00 PM-6:30 PM (PST)

The facilitators will also offer an additional 30 minutes following the presentation to answer any questions, and conduct one-on-ones for skill buildings as needed/requested by participants.
